Assistance Fund

The Opal Center's Assistance Fund aims to provide small grants to members of the LGBTQIA+ communities in Wichita Falls and surrounding areas to assist with access to affirming services. Examples include:

• Purchasing affirming clothing items (chest binders, swimsuits, etc.)

• Gas money to travel out of town for affirming health care

• Assistance paying for HRT or other medical care

• Processing fees related to name changes, adoptions, etc.

• Legal fees for LGBTQIA+-related court cases

Most grants will be $100 or less, but larger requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on the situation and available funds. Click the button below to submit a request for assistance.
